What is The 3.0 Exchange?

Dan Jones recently introduced us to The 3.0 Exchange. Check it out here if you missed it. This project has just opened for access to the Flipped Learning (FL) community.  The Exchange is akin to Teachers Pay Teachers but solely dedicated to Flipped Learning. There is nowhere else you will find ready-to-go lessons that are aligned to the Global Elements of Effective Flipped Learning. Nowhere else will you find high-quality, peer-reviewed,  FL resources created by FL Level I and Level II certified educators.

The 3.0 Exchange  | January

This month, I spotlight two resources from Certified Resources Providers, (both Davids!) David Carr and David Largent.

Resource Title and Exchange Link: Assignment Statements https://flglobal.org/product/assignment-statements/

Grade Level: 9 and up

Subject/Topic: Computer Science/Python

Price: On Sale! FREE (normally $2.50)

Certified Resource Provider:  David Largent

Review: This 5:50 minute video is a great model for how to do a basic flipped lesson.  The Slideshow is displayed as David’s face is visible in the lower right-hand corner. He balances it out by showing what is typed in the programming space in the software.  David’s videos make this complicated process understandable!

Resource Title and Exchange Link: Assessment for Learning Strategy: Mission Impossible https://flglobal.org/product/assessment-for-learning-strategy-mission-impossible/

Grade Level: 1-9

Subject/Topic:  Formative Assessment

Price: FREE

Certified Resource Provider:  David Carr

Review: The first thing I noticed about David’s resources is that they are absolutely BEAUTIFULLY designed.  In this resource, he has included the GEEFL in its entirety as an introduction to which elements are supported explicitly by this strategy.  Additionally, he refers teachers to the FLGI certification courses, which will surely drive traffic to that site. This engaging strategy can be easily implemented tomorrow.  All it takes are some Post-its, a question, and a song.
